OPEN GARDENS

Saturday September 20 and Sunday September 21, 2008

“The glory of the garden, it abideth not in words” .....Kipling

Visiting interesting gardens is always a pleasurable activity, whether you are an active gardener or not. The Rotary Club of Northbridge and Willoughby Council have selected 5 gardens in the Willoughby area, including the garden at the Willoughby Museum.

The owners have kindly consented to open them to the public on Saturday September 20 and Sunday September 21.

This is an opportunity to see examples of several different garden types that have been developed by other residents in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere and to meet with other members of the community with gardening interests. These range from "federation inspired" through "formal contemporary" to "locally native" plus ideas on how to develop a garden in these times of water scarcity.
